Our school is located in the center of the NoHo arts district, formerly named to describe the North Hollywood community. Each acting coach here is of the best in the industry as all of our teachers in the studio are currently working actors or directors and are well known. So what kind of class is right for you? There are so many different kinds of acting classes Hollywood has to offer; at Stuart Rogers's Studios, the goal of every acting coach is to get you out of a class and into the working world as fast as possible. To have the best acting classes, we must quickly and effectively prepare our actors for the challenges that they will face on the set, in the casting office, or rehearsal hall. Our North Hollywood acting school is known to turn out only the best, and that is why we must be selective with our enrollments.
You can't learn to be an artist from a book. Art is a thought, feeling or an idea expressed through a particular medium. People tend to think that to be an artist you must work in the theatre or be a painter, sculptor, etc. However, they exist in an unlimited range of fields and vocations. To be one means to invest in and embrace a passion in your work. I knew an artist who worked in a deli in Astoria, Queens not an acting class, in a deli in Astoria- he was great but not because he had ever painted a picture or wrote a brilliant piece of literature. He was fabulously creative because every sandwich he made was an extension of him. It was his expression. Creativity gives form to something that would otherwise have no substance. In our classes, teacher and student personally interact, so a teacher can give a student specific acting tools to help that student create his or her own art. The teacher can point out ways of working that will save time and be more effective. In some instances, a teacher may acts as a student's "bullshit meter," aside from providing expert instruction and advice.
