hile the approach we use in our work is designed to address the needs of the modern actor, it is deeply rooted in long-standing theatrical traditions. The tenets of our system are laid out in the book “An Actors’ Guide” which all students receive upon entering acting class. Any technique of acting, if it is to be considered a complete technique, must address three basic skill sets:

1. Text analysis; the ability to glean all relevant information from the text. An actor is given two pages of sides, he/she should be able to deduce the story of the script in its entirety.

2. Belief building; a technique that turns the information gathered from an analyzed story or text, into a truthful experience for you, the actor.

3. Play; the give and take between you and the other actor(s), the audience, or the casting director.

As an actor masters those three skill sets, the consistency of in-depth performances grows exponentially. Once achieved, the confidence to take your work into the world, and execute on demand will follow you throughout your professional experiences.
