If you are an actor and you do not love acting you should really do something else with your life. Most people I talk to have more difficulty with the BUSINESS OF ACTING than the art of it. THE BUSINESS OF SHOW BUSINESS NEED NOT BE MISERABLE!
As an acting teacher I focus primarily on the art of acting, with some business insights. I have recently come to recognize that more help on the business side is needed if I am going to help actors make a profound difference in their careers.
Do any of these sound familiar?
• Binge and stagnation. Do you do lots of work on your career, mailings, showcasing etc. you get limited results, and burn yourself out needing weeks, months or even years before you employ the same fruitless tactics
• Are you not enough auditions?
• You don’t have the right agent /manager?
• Do you have anxiety going into auditions?
• Can’t move from co-star to guest star or guest star to lead?
• Don’t really know the ins and the outs of the business and really don’t think (mistakenly) that they pertain to you. EXAMPLE: What is a showrunner? How do CD’s run their business? If you know what to do, being ON TOP of your career takes only 15 minutes a day.
What this class will do:
• Help you find pleasure in your career so that you maintain consistency in developing it.
• Help you develop a specific plan of attack.
• Weekly exercises to further your career.
• Remove limiting ideas about how the business works.
• Gives you the tools to maintain forward momentum THROUGHOUT THE COMING YEARS.
